WHY UNIVERSAL PERFORMANCE?

TRAINING

Training that is periodised in a way that considers everything from gym equipment limitations, time constraints and ones level of training experience as much as possible while at the same time not negating from ones ability to meet the requirements of their goal.

NUTRITION

Personalised nutrition plans and macronutrient targets prescribed by a registered sports nutritionist to help you reach your goal that are constructed in accordance with your dietary requirements, the nature of your goal as well as considering your food preference.

SUPPLEMENTATION

Comprehensive supplement guidance based on ones goals and micronutrient deficiencies identified via blood work or which have a high likelihood of manifesting as a result of kcalorie restriction and reductions in food variety throughout the progression of a dieting phase.

My name is Nic,

I am a Strength Coach, internationally recognised retired raw powerlifter, an IFBB bodybuilder (aspiring IFBB Pro Olympia competitor) and a university undergraduate studying biomed.

I work with individuals of all ages and lifestyles, helping them with achieving their goals.

Everything from:

  • Bodybuilding offseason and contest preparation.

  • Performance-nutrition coaching for various types of athletes (powerlifters, track & field, fighters)

  • General population coaching for body-recomposition (fat-loss and/or muscle growth).

I understand that each individual will have a set of  skillset, environmental factors/ conditions and circumstances that are unique to them and in order to best achieve their goal, the approach taken must be mindful of this fact.

So when it comes to my coaching methodology, I understand that the most effective approach to take is one that is tailored to the individual.

No ‘cookie cutter’ approaches here at Universal Performance….

are all taken into consideration when organising their training and nutrition.

Every change and adjustment made is done so with an intention behind it to yield a desired outcome.

Clear communication and transparency are encouraged held in high regards here, as without clear communication the infrastructure of the coach/client relationship is built upon will be weak and surely to falter like foundations of a poorly  engineered building.

Over the years I have grown to understand that the best coaching approach should not only take into account the quantitative data available (most current research and findings in all fields relating to training, nutrition and recovery) but also the qualitative data (what has been found through personal experience with myself and my clients – what works in practice) as sometimes these two do not always align, despite both still bearing relevance.

So, here at Universal Performance, there is a large emphasise placed on the importance of considering both the empirical data as well as anecdotal findings to solidify the best approach for achieving the most ideal outcome and results every single time.
